From Great Conversations to Consistent Clients: A Simple Follow-Up System for Coaches

This session helps coaches take a fresh, human (non-salesy) look at what happens after the first conversation with a prospect or past client — and why so many warm opportunities quietly disappear.

We’ll explore a simple follow-up and reactivation approach that creates clarity and consistency without adding pressure or mental load. Instead of starting with tools, we’ll start with meaning and mindset — reframing a “CRM” as a relationship and clarity system that supports trust, continuity, and sustainable growth.

Participants will leave with a clear, lightweight structure they can implement immediately to stop losing warm leads and turn good conversations into consistent clients.

    PRESENTER: Brian Carries Naar

Brian is an Executive and Business Development Coach with over 15 years of experience in sales, leadership, and building growth systems for professional services and technology companies. He is a CPA by training and a former Partner and VP of Sales of a global SaaS company, where he helped scale the business from early-stage startup to hundreds of clients across 50+ countries.

Brian now works with leaders and coaches to turn high-quality conversations into consistent business results through simple, ethical, and sustainable sales structures. His approach focuses on follow-up, relationship continuity, and clarity of pipeline, helping professionals move from scattered notes and one-off outreach to a light, human, and reliable system that supports trust, visibility, and long-term growth.

For this session, Brian will help coaches reframe “CRM” not as a heavy sales tool, but as a practical relationship and clarity system that protects valuable connections, reduces mental load, and prevents opportunities from being lost after the first conversation.

ICF North Florida Chapter Presents - Coaching Clients Through Spiritual Uncertainty

    DESCRIPTION:

Coaching clients through seasons of spiritual uncertainty is complex—for both coach and client. In this session, Stacey B. Wynn, MDIV, PCC shares practical strategies for supporting clients as they navigate shifts in faith and spiritual practice. Explore how to uphold ICF competencies while “going to the mat” alongside clients wrestling with belief, doubt, and evolving spiritual practices. Drawing on a decade of experience guiding clients through faith deconstruction, Stacey is dedicated to equipping coaches with tools and insights for navigating these nuanced realities—while maintaining the highest professional standards.

    WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

    • Foster a Safe, Affirming, and Client-Centered Coaching Space

Objective: Create and maintain a secure space for clients to share doubts, questions, and struggles.

    • Strengthen Professional Boundaries and Self-Awareness as a Coach

Objective: Prepare internally to witness your own internal responses during coaching. Practice strategies to remain present and curious—upholding client-centeredness by avoiding over-spiritualization or directive approaches, especially when beliefs diverge.

    • Ethically Resource and Empower Clients for Ongoing Growth

Objective: Curate resources that empower rather than overwhelm, and consider utilizing the resources your client finds helpful, to come alongside their growth path.

ICF Maryland Chapter Presents - Coaching Clients Through Spiritual Uncertainty

    DESCRIPTION:

Many professionals experience Impostor Syndrome (originally and accurately titled Impostor Phenomenon), which involves persistent self-doubt and the inability to internalize accomplishments, even when there is clear evidence of competence. For coaches, understanding the impact of Impostor Syndrome on clients is critical. It can significantly affect clients’ confidence, hinder leadership development, and stall career progression. Many executive coaches have worked with high-achieving clients who downplay their accomplishments, attribute their success to luck, or constantly fear they don’t measure up. Recognizing these effects allows coaches to better support their clients in overcoming the challenges.

This session is led by seasoned executive coach Susan Hahn, who will share valuable coaching techniques that empower them to guide clients with authenticity and positive impact. She will also share a practical, research-backed tool designed to help clients identify and overcome Impostor Syndrome. Participants will have the opportunity to complete the assessment during the session to better understand the phenomenon in themselves and others.

    WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

    1. Recognize the patterns and impact of Impostor Syndrome—in yourself and your clients—and understand how it shapes confidence, performance, and leadership growth.

    2. Create a safe, trusting coaching environment by skillfully responding to client vulnerability, self-doubt, and emotionally charged beliefs about competence.

    3. Strengthen your presence and active listening skills to uncover limiting beliefs, internal narratives, and themes that keep clients feeling “not enough.”

    4. Use a research-backed assessment tool to help clients build insight, reframe their thinking, and design confidence-building actions that foster sustained growth.
